Dear Parents:
As we begin a new year, there are always new things to
announce and old things to remember. Just as last year
we will be meeting for one full hour following the end
of worship. Classes will meet every Sunday from Sept.
13, 2009 – May 16, 2010, unless otherwise noted.
Enclosed is this year’s
registration form, calendar, and
DCHS Wish List. Please fill out one form for each child.
If you need more forms, they are in the church office or
ask Josie. Please make sure to put your email on the
form so we can easily contact you with any last minute
changes or cancellations. Please try to have your
registration form (with payment) to the church office
before Rally Day.
Cosmo is starting a new curriculum this year. I am very
excited about it and hope that your children will enjoy
it as well. Please let me know if you have any
questions, concerns, or comments about this new
installment. It is a lectionary based program so
activities and projects are all based on the lessons and
gospels your children will hear in worship that morning.
Because of this, I suggest having your children in
church each week, so they can absorb the message from
all angles.
We are again asking each family to provide one
non-perishable snack item that can be kept in the
kitchen for Sunday morning snacks. We are asking for
healthy items such as pretzels, crackers, or bottled
juice (100% please). Please bring your contribution to
church on Rally Day.
We will NOT release children from classrooms without a
parent present. You MUST pick up your child(ren) at
their classrooms. Your child will not be allowed to meet
you in the parking lot or any other part of the
building. In the event you want your child to be
released without a parent present, you must provide a
written note or talk to Josie in person.
This year we are fundraising for the Dunn County Humane
Society. We will again be doing Butter Braids, a
Christmas Sale and “Help Me Home” yard stakes. We are
asking that you have your children also bring in
donations. This is an important part of growing as a
Christian and I encourage you and your family to
participate. A collection box is available in the
Fireside Room. Our outreach mission will be an ongoing
fundraiser for the Heifer Project. There will be more
information on this later.
