This May, as during
April, we have multiple baptisms scheduled. We are blessed to witness
and respond to the coming of new life through the promise of salvation,
gifts of the Spirit, and entry into the life of the church.
We are also richly blessed this month to be receiving new members into
this body of Christ. These servants of the risen Christ also bring new
life through
 their
gifts and their presence, which add to the joy we share in Christ Jesus.
Whether baptismal candidates, or those baptized yet new to CLC, Peter’s
Pentecost sermon proclaims that this new life is offered to all: “For
the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away,
everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him.” ...*
May God grant you His peace.
