- Christ Lutheran is a place of education for
adults and children. It is a place where we
examine the tough issues of our day in the light
of scripture and are enriched by our shared experiences.
- We seek to reach out to those in need whether
near or far.
- Christ is a place committed to its youth. Youth
ministry is important to our congregation. We have
a variety of events for youth, which are Christ
centered and youth oriented. Youth are always welcome.
- In a world that moves very fast and is often
harsh, we seek to offer a place apart.
- We seek to be a place of welcome and acceptance.
- We seek to be a place where people can hear
a word of comfort or sometimes a word of challenge.
- We seek to be a place where people count.
- We seek to be a place where it is okay to laugh
and a place to be supported when times are tough.
We invite you to come and experience
the CHRIST in Christ Lutheran.

gatherings around meals throughout the year, and
several "food-based" fund raising events.
- Home Communion Team: The CLC Home Communion
Team serves members of our congregation by bringing
Holy Communion to the home of those who are unable
attend worship. This rewarding ministry helps to
maintain the connection between homebound
members and the community of faith which is Christ
Lutheran Church. Team members are commissioned to
serve and support, not replace, the Pastoral visitation
ministry. To learn more, to serve on this team,
or to suggest those in need of this ministry, contact
the church office or Bob Dahm.
-
Lay School of Ministry offers more
extensive preparation to follow particular paths
of ministry within the congregation and the
greater community. For more information, visit
the link above and contact Pastor Geoff, Bob
Dahm or Marilyn Tye.
- Music and Art Ministries: These include
Adult and Children's Choirs, special music and visual
arts contributions to the Worship experience.
- Prayer Shawl Ministry: This
ministry, inspired by the late Ruth Peterson's
loving prayers in the form of shawls, has
provided hundreds of persons with comfort,
healing and hope. The ministry is being
continued by a growing group of members.

-
Missions: This includes local and world-wide
activities in support of basic human need, including
spreading the gospel.
- Recreation Ministries: These include
"lock-ins," camps and other youth events, and trips like "Lutheran
Night" - a trip to a Twins game at the Metrodome.
- Giving to God: Christ Lutheran members
and friends give of their time, talent and
monetary resources, which makes our ministries possible.
This
comes as a joyful response to God's love and the Holy Spirit
at work in our lives, not out of a sense of
personal obligation. Christ
Lutheran also welcomes periodic automated giving
through the financial institution of your
choice. Such programs may be particularly
convenient for those for whom travel, work,
health or other circumstances make it difficult
to give each week as a part of Worship.
- Worship Service Scripture Readers, Ushers
and Communion assistants ... and MORE.
